Hanging Rock Veteran turns 100

Laura Koch and her husband George, who were frequent visitors to the tower, celebrated her 100th birthday on July 20. Happy birthday Laura!

Barbara Walker and a crew from the Eastern Divide Ranger District out of Blacksburg, VA recently did some much needed repair to the tower. The roof was repaired, the inside was painted and the floor and deck were stained. Some missing siding shingles were replaced and the privy was painted inside. There were also new signs erected at the parking area. Also, Doug Wood and a crew from the West Virginia scenic trails association has recently cleared and blazed the trail. Everyone involved with Hanging Rock would like to thank all those who worked so hard on these projects.
